Regenerative cropping and Nature Based Solutions at Balruddery Farm
About this Event
Join the James Hutton Institute for a guided tour of Balruddery Farm, a LEAF Innovation Centre near Dundee, exploring how regenerative cropping and nature-based solutions can help create more sustainable and resilient farming systems.
The visit begins at the farm steading with an introduction to Balruddery Farm before heading to the Centre for Sustainable Cropping, where participants will learn about field-scale research investigating regenerative agroecological approaches to improve soil health, enhance biodiversity and minimise environmental impacts.
The tour will then continue to demonstrations of innovative 3D buffer systems and other nature-based solutions designed to reduce flood risk and improve environmental outcomes across wider catchments. This is an excellent opportunity to see practical examples of sustainable farming and landscape management in action.
