Join Grafill Bergen for an afternoon outdoors where we connect with nature, fellow creatives, and our shared responsibility to shape the future we want to see.
Are you a designer, illustrator, or other creative mind? You are invited to step away from screens and into the forest for a slow hike, meaningful conversations, and a hands-on workshop. This session moves beyond standard briefs to explore a vital question: How do the interconnections between our organizations, our well-being, society, and natural resources inform our design decisions?
In this workshop, you will be introduced to Ecosystem Mapping – a visual tool to identify hidden friction, leverage strengths, and design beyond silos. Together, we will map the invisible forces that shape our work, turning systemic challenges into opportunities for sustainable solutions.
Between the mapping exercises, we’ll share stories, snacks, and explore how systems thinking can inspire more thoughtful, life-affirming creative work.
What to expect:
16:30 – Meeting at Fløibanen lower station. Welcome and introductions. Slow hike up Fløyen (or take the Fløibanen) while discussing guiding questions.
17:30 – Arrive at Skomakerstuen. Vegan sandwiches, coffee, and tea.
Hands-on workshop: An introduction to Ecosystem Mapping.
After: collective reflection.
19:30-19:45 – Bringing it home. Walking down together, arriving in the city around 20:30.
The event will be held in English.
Gratis for Grafill members.
150 NOK for non-members.

The event is hosted by Ania Rzymyszkiewicz, a senior visual designer and facilitator passionate about integrating values and climate action into everyday creative work.
She will share the Ecosystem Mapping framework, a professional toolset she uses with clients to navigate complex systems and ensure her practice operates with full integrity. It is one of the tools that empower designers to align their daily decisions with their deeper principles, turning abstract values into concrete, actionable strategies.
