About this Event
Join us to experience the work of some of Colorado’s finest artists through an interactive, thought-provoking scavenger hunt and workshop developed in response to Boulder Public Library’s current exhibition, "Unchained Voices 2024: Liminal Presents and Futures." Unchained Voices is an annual advocacy & empowerment art show that seeks to uplift the voices of artists who are incarcerated in Colorado- learn more about the show here. In this workshop, participants will be led through a series of exercises by formerly incarcerated creative writing facilitator, Bob Eisenman, to deeply engage with artworks, better understand the experiences of our incarcerated neighbors in Colorado, and reckon with commonly held assumptions about Pr*son.
Soft event start will be at 4pm. Attendees can arrive any time between 4pm-4:30pm as that time will be dedicated to touring the gallery individually. The group workshop session will formally begin at 4:45pm and go until 6pm. Light refreshements will be serevd as we encourage partipants to connect in the courtyard following the workshop from 6pm-6:30pm.
