Tune into the rhythm of the seasons and deepen your connection to your garden this winter solstice. Join scientific illustrator and ethnobotanical enthusiast Chris Rockley for a reflective, creative workshop that will help you observe, record, and understand the cycles of your growing space.Explore how to:
Track seasonal changes in your garden and recognise what’s happening above and below the soil throughout the year.
Create your own personalised garden journal to record notes, observations, and ideas as the seasons shift.
Build a habit of revisiting your notes year-to-year to see what worked, what didn’t, and how your garden evolves over time.
Observe and document the plants, insects, and wildlife that call your garden home.
Develop simple drawing techniques to confidently sketch what you see, no artistic experience required.
Learn from examples and guided exercises to bring your garden journal to life.
Cost is $35 covering costs with donation to garden activities. Wear comfortable, warm clothes, bring a water bottle.
