Creating a Classroom Charter of Rights (Classroom Presentation)
Empower your students to understand and embrace their rights and responsibilities with this interactive virtual workshop! Designed for Grades 5-9, this session will explore the concept of Human Rights and introduce students to key international, national, and provincial Human Rights Instruments. Using engaging scenarios from the Alberta Civil Liberties Research Centre’s DVD, “Respectful Me, Respectful You: Discrimination, Harassment, and Human Rights,” students will work in small groups to discuss real-life situations and create their own Classroom Charter of Rights and Responsibilities.
