ARRRRGH Me Hearties!! Brace ye-selves once again for a great day metal detecting to find Treasure and PRIZES!!!
On Saturday the 11th July 2024, the CQ Detectorist Metal Detecting club will be holding our annual PIRATE BEACH DAY!
Whether you’re a seasoned detectorist or a first-time treasure hunter, this is a day not to miss. The event is Pirate Day themed, so don your best pirate costume, grab your eye patch, and join in on the hunt for buried treasure along the beautiful sands of Kemp Beach.
Kemp Beach – Access K4 – Starting at 9am.
Everyone is Welcome to attend! Even politicians!
Piece of gold donation for entry appreciated ($2)
Prizes for best dressed Pirates on the day! 4 Categories! Adult, Junior, Child & Family so let’s see your Pirate costumes!
Find a KEY to open a PRIZE CHEST! 2 of them contain Brand New Metal Detectors!!!
Comb the beach with a metal detector to find Treasure!
Little Sailors Sand Sifting Area! Bring your beach bucket and spade!
Watch out for Pirate Pez though! He may make you walk the PLANK!
The club has a small amount of equipment available for use, but if you have your own please bring it along.
Pets are welcome on restraints. Stay sun-smart and keep hydrated!
There will be a Coffee Van onsite and Pancakes! Thank you Ohana & Co and Dutch Poffertjes House. Where would we be without coffee? The Rum wouldn’t last!!!
There could also be a Sausage Sizzle for a budget bounty!
If you have ever thought about trying out the hobby of Metal Detecting, come down and see us! maybe buy a raffle ticket to win your own Brand New Metal Detector.
If you have a machine you don’t know how to use, bring it down and we will show you how!
