ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Kate Mahood blends folk stylings and country storytelling, with songs that portray an honesty and vulnerability that resonate deeply with listeners. Heartfelt and often haunting lyrics, coupled with stirring vocals and beautifully crafted guitar melodies, give Kate a unique and original sound that is truly her own. Best known for her captivating and intimate live shows, she has appeared at festivals including Agnes Blues and Roots Festival, Country on Keppel, Rockhampton River Festival, and Wintermoon Folk Festival, and has supported artists including Busby Marou, Harry Manx, The Whitlams, Alex Lloyd, and Josh Cunningham (The Waifs).
Kane Vincent took the advice of a Jason Isbell song to “find what makes you happy … and do it till you’re gone,” picked up his old Maton, and got stuck into it. Over the last seven years he’s lugged that guitar from pubs to parties and festivals, building a reputation for impressive songwriting, engaging vocals, and a loveable spirit. Kane was the winner of the 2024 Country on Keppel Talent Search, and draws lyrical inspiration from both the mundane and extraordinary stories of everyday life, with songs that carry a folk/pop sensibility, soulful edge, hints of country, and a familiar nod to the blues.
Anna Farquhar’s raw, honest storytelling and captivating voice have earned her a place in Australia’s music scene. With roots in acoustic, country, and contemporary styles, Anna connects with audiences through authenticity and emotion, whether on festival stages or in small-town halls. She has shared the stage with acts like Busby Marou, Sara Storer, Diesel, and Shannon Noll, and has appeared at festivals including Tamworth Country Music Festival, Country on Keppel, and Gympie Music Muster.
Come along for a beautiful evening of live music, shared stories, and songs in their rawest form as these three artists come together for a special night in the round.
