Hi Everyone,2026 Nationals Update
The preparations at Keppel Bay Sailing Club in Yeppoon are close to complete. Everything is coming together to make this an awesome event. And given the International situation, Yeppoon offers you a fabulous mid-winter, tropical holiday, right here in Australia. So come along, join the fun, the more the merrier!
We’re working hard to balance the racing with the socials. There are no prizes for sailing ‘till exhaustion and there will be a strong focus on the fun element of the event. Think Club Tropicana…..ice cold drinks, warm water, palm trees….
We’ve already had over 80 entries, 27 of who were not at the last Nationals, and so far 89 from last year’s Nationals are yet to enter. So we think numbers are going to be really good. And the more people that come, the more the Class will be ale to throw into the socials to ensure the party atmosphere is super strong. We want everyone to have heaps of fun!!
Charters are completed and Aroona has announced a special purchase and transport offer. Details of transport of boards for SA, Victorian and NSW sailors and can be found on our website.
The free tee shirts are only available up until May 1st to allow time for ordering, printing and delivery. So please get your entry in soon.
In addition to the Cruiser Class that lets you be part of the action at a very civilised pace, this year Juniors will be sailing in their own Green Fleet, with their own support and coaching boat. Perfect for the younger sailors coming into the LT fleet.
And don't forget, the new 5m sail is now fully Class legal in Australia. You can use it whenever you like through the event. So if it does get breezy, just swap down a size. No more missing out on breezy days.
