What is it?
The Dance-a-Thon is a high-energy, all-night celebration where individuals and teams commit to dancing for four hours to raise funds for an exciting new initiative: Launching the very first middle school dance program at our local public school in Alexandria City!
How it works:
- Sign up solo or with a team. Pledgers should remain dancing during the full duration of the event (four hours). We allow the option to sign up for this event as an individual or as a team. In team cases, at least one pledger has to be dancing at any given time during the four hours and can tag team by switching with their other teammates.
- Create a fundraising page and share your "why"— what inspires you to dance and why you want to help support dance programs at our schools.
- Gather donations from friends, family, and community supporters and share to your community.
- Dance the night away and help bring dance education to kids who’ve never had it before.
Details:
- There will be two floors of dancing! Upstairs will hold your country, two-step, and line dance music. Downstairs we will have DJ Chapibol playing the best music for dancing Salsa, Bachata, and Zouk.
- Our hours at Clarendon Ballroom will extend one hour so dancing will go until 12am!
- Every individual who pledges $50 or more will receive a custom Inspira Dance-a-thon T-Shirt. To receive a T-shirt, you will need to confirm your pledge before July 20th.
- All participants need to arrive at Clarendon Ballroom no later than 8:30pm on the day of the event!
We appreciate you all so much, your support is incredibly invaluable to our mission! We have special prizes for first, second, and third place fundraisers (for individuals and teams). We will also be giving out great prizes throughout the night. This is an event you will not want to miss!
