Copy of 2026 Back-to-School Drilldown for School Leaders

The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI), Office of School Approval & Opportunity, invites you to attend the 2026 Back-to-School Drilldown for School Leaders! This one-day event will be held at the Radisson Hotel in downtown Bismarck, ND, on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. In ramp parking will be validated.

Please note the change in venue from last year!

This workshop aims to provide critical information to assist leaders in successfully leading their districts and schools. In addition, we will provide important information and valuable guidance to support them in being competent and thoughtful in their decision-making. An agenda will be up uploaded by June 10, 2026.

We will have signs and staff available to assist attendees.

Check-in begins at 7:30 AM, with the welcome and announcements starting promptly at 8:00 AM. Breakfast, lunch, and refreshments will be provided. Breakfast will be served at 8am (you can eat while people are presenting).

If you have any dietetary restrictions or need ANY accommodations please let us know.

The registration fee for the workshop is $50.00, which covers meals, refreshments, and workshop materials. Payments must be made online with a credit card at the time of registration. You are not registered until we receive payment, and you receive confirmation via email from Eventbrite.

Cancellation Policy/Late Registrants: Submitting the online registration signifies that you are registered for this workshop and will attend. We understand that circumstances may prevent you from attending the workshop after submitting your registration and/or payment. Therefore, regardless of whether payment has been made, please notify the Office of School Approval & Opportunity if plans change and you will no longer attend.

Substitutes will be accepted for paid registrants. All cancellation or refund requests must be made to Katie Wald at [email protected] no later than noon on August 1, as commitments for food and materials must be secured.
