Throughout the year, we'll be featuring a series of talks on Scottish history, heritage, and culture, digging deep into the 1745 Jacobite Rising and other aspects related to the Battle of the Culloden.
Join us to learn about a different perspective of the Battle of Culloden, key players, lesser known stories, and much more.

Forgotten Stories

Have you ever wondered what elements of the Forty-Five Rising you've missed?
Join us to learn about aspects of the battle that have been lost to history. We'll explore lesser known stories of the Battle of Culloden and the Rising as a whole and dig deep into a complex period of history.

The Prince's Series: At the heart of the Battle of Culloden lies two princes who's skills and flaws will determine the outcome of the conflict.
19th July, 1pm: A Princes' Series: The Princes' War
The first in the series is the Princes' War, a breakdown of the two princes and how the lives they lead would shape the conflict.
26th July, 1pm: A Princes' Series: The Princes' Brothers
The second in the 3 part series is the Princes' Brothers, the lives of Henry Benedict and Fredrick the Prince of Wales. Two overshadowed characters who's lives would have far reaching impact on the conflict and its aftermath.
2nd August, 1pm: A Princes' Series: The Princes' Lovers
The final in our series is the Princes' Lovers, how the relationships between the princes and their romantic partners would mark their place in society.
