Rabel Moremen, a farm girl from Orange Camp Road, met Harold Parson during a choir rehearsal at the First Baptist Church in 1942 while they were both attending Stetson University. They got engaged just before Harold went off to war, along with many other Stetson students.
After the war, Rabel became the first female letter carrier in DeLand. When Harold returned, they got married, and he began working for the FBI. After graduating, Rabel pursued a successful career in music. Come hear their enduring story.
