Multifamily Section 8 HUD Compliance
HUD Section 8 Compliance is complex and constantly changing. Keeping up with the changes and maintaining proper compliance is challenging and often frustrating. Amanda Lee Gross created this HUD Compliance course to train housing professionals on how to stay in compliance at all times, and become an expert in HUD Compliance. From applications and waiting list requirements to EIV, our compliance course will cover it all.
HUD’s multifamily housing programs provide safe and affordable housing to our nation’s most vulnerable populations. In order to help these vital housing programs remain intact, owners/agents need to do their part by operating their HUD properties in accordance with HUD regulations.
Become a True HUD Compliance Expert
The Accredited Compliance Expert (ACE) course is a detailed study of HUD’s 4350.3 Rev-1, Change 4 Handbook. In this three-day course with an online exam, we will review all aspects of Multifamily Section 8 Compliance.
Learning About HUD’s Multifamily Housing Programs
At the center of HUD’s Compliance Policies is household eligibility. During the Conquering HUD Compliance Seminar, you will learn about tenant selection plans, working with income and assets to determine eligibility and calculate rent. We’ll also cover:
- Civil Rights and Nondiscrimination Requirements
- Lease Requirements
- Recertifications, Unit Transfers, and Interim Certifications
- Gross Rent Charges
- Termination of Assistance and Termination of Tenancy
- Overview of the Enterprise Income Verification System (EIV)
New HUD HOTMA Changes
HUD’s HOTMA (Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act of 2016 (HOTMA S. 3083/H.R. 3700 of the 114th Congress) means some dramatic changes to how applicants and residents for HUD Housing will have their income and assets counted towards eligibility and rent calculation. We will review these changes during this training to prepare owners/agents of what's to come.
HUD requires HOTMA implementation effective 01/01/2025.
Randy McCall Breaks Down HUD's Multifamily Housing Programs
, Housing Compliance Trainer, will use real-world examples and exercises to provide practical guidance on how HUD's multi-family housing programs will need to be maintained to ensure compliance.
Join Randy for this three-day course that will provide attendees with a clear understanding of how HUD's multifamily housing programs work and how to maintain compliance. The course is fun and engaging and always delivered from the perspective of someone who lived and breathed the experiences of managing affordable housing programs from the ground up.
What Materials Do We Provide?
Amanda Lee Gross has developed a one-of-a-kind color manual that takes you through the 4350.3 in a way that is arranged for everyday use. Our manual includes all of HUD’s occupancy rules combined together into the real-world way that you work. Other HUD Occupancy courses simply read through the HUD Handbook; at this course, we provide the details through a vivid presentation with real-world examples.
