About this Event

Learn how to recognise and respond to vicarious trauma. This training will support you to understand how exposure to trauma can affect your wellbeing and provide practical tools and strategies to help you care for yourself and build resilience.

The Connect Sydney program is offering a free managing vicarious trauma workshop for staff, volunteers and committee/board members of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations that operate in or service the local area.

This training is suitable for not-for-profit, charitable organisations, social enterprises, and co-operatives.

The workshop will be facilitated by Yatunkga Gordon from Breaking Silent Codes Network, a 100% Aboriginal-owned and operated organisation, and will be held on Wednesday 24 June, 10am-4pm at Redfern Community Centre.

Registration is essential for each workshop. Spaces are limited.

The City of Sydney aims to deliver inclusive and accessible training sessions for all participants. Contact Vicky at (02) 9265 9333 or [email protected] if you have access or communication requirements.
