20 Years of Ginga de Resiliência & ECAMAR – 202630 July – 2 August 2026
In August 2026, we celebrate 20 years of Ginga de Resiliência in Australia and the Escola de Capoeira Angola Mato Rasteiro (ECAMAR) — two decades of transforming lives through Capoeira, culture, and community.
To mark this milestone, we warmly invite the Capoeira community to join us for a 4-day celebration from 30 July to 2 August 2026.
This special edition will be honoured by the presence of
Mestre Roxinho, directly from Ilha de Itaparica (Brazil) — a guardian of Capoeira Angola and a reference of wisdom, resilience, and ancestral tradition.
Expect:
• Capoeira Angola rodas
• Classes, workshops, and music
• Talks, storytelling, and cultural exchange
• Community gathering and celebration of our shared journey
Let’s come together to celebrate 20 years of ginga, resistência, and connection.
All schools, students, and friends of Capoeira are welcome.

1:00 PM onwards BBQ
