Following a week of recording at Studio Silo in Stöðvarfjörður, the collaborative trio Sontag Shogun (US/CAN) will make a stop at Smekkleysa. Their distinct analog sound treatments and nostalgic solo piano compositions depict abstract places in our memory. The band consists of Ian Temple: piano, organ; Jeremy Young: magnetic tape loops, oscillators, amplified objects & surfaces; and Jesse Perlstein: treated vocals, field recordings, and electronics.
