Community Volunteering @ Holland Park

Our BrightenUp London Community Days at Holland Park offer an engaging, conservation focused volunteering experience for newcomers and regulars alike.

Each session is a chance to get outside and give back, all while learning more about the largest green space in Kensington and Chelsea.

Tasks are seasonal, and therefore you may be planting, cleaning invasive species, building dead-hedges and more!

This is a joint session with Holland Park's Taskforce for Nature volunteers.

Rough Schedule: This is a drop-in session, and you are free to come and go as you please. If it is your first time volunteering with us, please ensure you check-in with your team leader for a safety briefing.

10:30 - 11:00 - Introductions and safety briefing.

11:00 - 12:30 - Morning volunteering tasks

12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch Break (team leaders may be off-site)

13:30 - 15:00 - Afternoon volunteering tasks

15:00 - Session over. Feel free to stay for a coffee with your team leader and/or the other volunteers at the cafe!

FAQ:

Clothing: We want to see long-sleeved tops + bottoms and sturdy footwear. London often sees four seasons in one day – check the forecast and dress for the weather!

Lunch: Bring a packed lunch, use the park cafe or local amenities. Always bring a bottle of water!

Group Size: You are welcome to grab tickets for yourself and up to 4 others. For groups of more that 5, please get in touch with us directly.

Families: We welcome younger volunteers, provided that they are accompanied by a responsible adult. Please email ahead to let us know if you're thinking of bringing your kids, as some tasks and tools will not be suitable.
