Community Thank You Cookout - 2026

It's back! The annual Community Thank You Cookout! The Wausau Police & Fire Departments will be teaming up to express our thanks to the community for the tremendous support shown to public safety in our area. Come down to the 400 Block for a hot dog or brat and some other snacks. It's all FREE thanks to generous donations from Hy-Vee Wausau, Eagle's Nest Family Restaurant, Culligan Water, and Kwik Trip! Additional event support is being provided by Green Valley Septic, the Wausau Police Foundation, and the Wausau Firefighters Community Assistance Foundation. The PD and FD staff are also pitching in to cook, grill, and bake to make this event a big success! There will be police and fire vehicles on display, K9 demos and lots of fun! We hope to see you there!
