Community Gardening at Newington Green, Islington, N16

For the last two year and a half years at our community gardening sessions we've been creating woodland paths, wild life areas and habitat, conducting monthly biodiversity surveys, beginning a fernery, and generally bringing beauty and wildlife to the green.

This year we'll be starting working on developing a loggery, planting plants for specifc pollinators, creating an area to attract miner bees, and developing the fernery.

Everyone is welcome, no experience is needed, and we provide tools, gloves, guidance and refreshments. There is always lots to do, but if you fancy just hanging out and enjoying the space and getting some winter sun, you're welcome.

Under 16's should be with a responsible adult.

We meet on Newington Green, literally the park on the small round about, by the park keepers hut. You'll see our signs and spot us out and about.
