About this Event

Immerse yourself in the beauty of Ikebana, a traditional Japanese art form that goes beyond floral arrangement. Rooted in the practice of offering flowers before the Buddha, Ikebana emphasizes asymmetrical beauty and the subtle "afterimages" that reflect Japan's unique aesthetic sense. For over 600 years, Ikebana has been a cornerstone of Japanese culture, blending elements from painting, gardening, and sculpture.

About Style

The Ohara School of Ikebana, established in 1895, is a pioneer in modern Ikebana. It focuses on capturing the essence of seasons, natural growth, and the inherent beauty of the natural world. By participating in Ohara School's Ikebana Class, you can embrace the serenity of Zen living and delve into the philosophy that underpins this captivating art form.

About Teacher

Anli, a 4th Master of Ohara School of Ikebana, will bring you a deep and nuanced understanding of this traditional Japanese art form. Having studied under world-renowned masters for 8 years, she offers a comprehensive and authentic learning experience. With her strong roots in Oriental culture and extensive time spent in Japan, Master Anli will expertly guide you on a journey to discover the beauty and philosophy of Japanese floral arranging art.
