What is a Community Connector?
Community Connectors are local people who help signpost friends, family, colleagues and neighbours to information and support. This could include groups, services, activities and resources that help improve health and wellbeing.
Becoming a Community Connector is not about taking on another role—it’s about making the most of everyday opportunities to share helpful information and connect people to support.
The more people in our communities who know what’s available, the more we can support each other. Over 2,000 people have already been trained.
Who can attend?
Everyone is welcome. Previous attendees include:
Police staff, taxi drivers, hairdressers, café workers, charity workers, health and care professionals, students, supermarket staff, parents, grandparents, Jobcentre staff and more.
What people say:
“Having the extra knowledge when talking with people who need help and support will be so valuable.” – Police Community Support Officer
“This has been a very informative and helpful workshop. I never knew there was so much support out there!” – Community member
