Commercial Archaeological Geophysical Seminar 2026

Returning after a 12-year break, the seminar aims to bring together those who conduct surveys, those who commission them, those who set and enforce the standards, and those who use the data and reports.

We will group talks by theme and end each session with a discussion forum. The day will be a great opportunity for the wider community to discuss where we are and where we are going. How can we conduct better surveys, produce work that satisfies both the client and the planning process and push the boundaries of what is possible?

We are looking for papers on novel approaches, collaborations, and emerging technology. We are especially interested in hearing from those who use geophysics reports to inform their mitigation strategies, de-risk their projects or to support their planning application.
