About this Event
Please note: this event will be held in person. This event is for Black people and people of colour / people of global majority.
“the first rule of an anti-fascist pedagogy...is to refuse to continue with “business as usual” and recognize that the anti-fascist battleground is everywhere.” (Prof. Guy Emerson Mount)
This event will carve out space to reflect on how fascism shows up across the various frontiers of our lives and discuss strategies of resistance– from the individual and intimate, to the collective and structural.
Using collage-making and conversation as our tools of exploration enables us to also consider the role of arts and creativity as a form of resistance.
This workshop is part of the ‘Collage and Conversation’ series that will take place over September, October and November. You do not need to have attended other sessions to participate.
The event will be two hours but there will be 15 minutes at the beginning and end of the session for optional grounding practices and decompressing.
Upcoming dates:
15th November - Dreaming up alternative worlds
CW: Fascism: Racism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc.
