CMBC Group Ride + 2026 Mt. Airy TrailFest

One day, two halves. Ride first, then hang around for the party.
**10:00 AM to 12:00 PM: group ride.** Meet us at the West Fork Rd trailhead. If you're pulling it up on your phone, search "Mt. Airy Mountain Bike Trailhead" and it'll drop you right at the lot. We roll out together at 10, then split into a casual group and an intermediate group. Both regroup at intersections and at the top of every climb, so nobody sits alone at a junction wondering where everybody went.
Never ridden Mt. Airy? Great! We're a casual group. Ride leaders will talk you through line choice and routes. The trail system is right here in the city, which still surprises people who've lived on the west side their whole lives.
**12:00 PM to 4:00 PM: TrailFest and the skills course.** We load the bikes up and drive over from the trailhead and spend the afternoon at the festival and skills course. If you've ever rolled past those features and thought "someday," this is the day. We'll ride the rollers, berms, and drops before grabbing lunch ilat the festival. Some of us will even pack the boots and hit the hiking trails. Come prepared to do it all and make the day of it.
TrailFest is also the one day a year the whole Mt. Airy community shows up in the same place. Come meet the people who build and maintain the dirt you ride on.
Do the ride, do the fest, or do both. All of it is free.
Kids welcome with a parent. Helmets required all day, no exceptions.
**Bring:** bike, helmet, water, snacks, and gloves if you have them.
