Islington Fixers are happy to support the Islington Sustainability Fair at Islington Assembly Hall , organised by the Islington Sustainability Network. It'll be a community event, open to the general public, all ages welcome - expect repair stations & fun upcycling activities, stalls on energy advice & retrofit, repair, crafts, local food & drink suppliers, music, prizes!More details on the activities to follow, see poster attached.

NOTE:

Our clothing fixers will be available for clothing repair by machine or by hand, hosted at the same event as the Islington Fixers.

Please reserve a slot to help us predict numbers and make sure we have enough fixers. Please cancel your slot if you are unable to attend.

Fixes are done on a drop in, first come first served basis.

Note that during busy moments, clothing repairs are capped at 1 per person. We do not repair broken zips or do alterations which require taking an item apart.

What we can do:

•⁠ ⁠Patching holes (eg jeans crotch)

•⁠ ⁠Trouser hems (I can do this reversibly for children’s clothes)

•⁠ ⁠Darning knitwear

•⁠ ⁠Fixing ripped seams

•⁠ ⁠Taking in waist bands

We do not repair broken zips or do alterations which require taking an item apart. We may be able to replace elastics, but this will depend on the item's construction.
