Your local meetup is a great place to start your journey or continue learning, and meet diverse people to chat about life and how we can sustain it. Every job is a climate job, so come along and learn about how you can take action, as well as what is going on locally.
We welcome everyone, regardless of their experience or background. People Planet Pint is a space where everyone can feel comfortable learning about sustainability and sharing their ideas.
Afterall, creating a sustainable future requires connected communities. And what better way to bring everyone together than over a drink?
Venue info
The Catford House used to be Catford Constitutional Club. It was reopened after refurbishment in November 2025 and is managed by the GCDA. By partnering with GCDA, The Catford House becomes part of a South London-wide network of community-driven spaces. Find out what else goes in here https://www.thecatfordhouse.pub/.
The main entrance is down the alley beside the dry cleaners (6 Catford Broadway), or the side entrance is in Thomas' Lane if it's open.
You’ll either find us in the main bar or in one of the side rooms. Look for the People Planet Pint table tents which will be strategically placed to welcome you.
Your Volunteer Hosts
Anne Barrett has been the Lewisham People Planet Pint host since October 2024. She enjoys bringing people together for positive conversations around how we're looking after and adapting to our changing environment. She's a facilitator of various sustainability workshops, such as the Climate Fresk and Circular Economy Collage, as well as supporting workshops facilitated by others. She's very proud of the borough of Lewisham, where she's lived for over 25 years.
Laura Disney has spent most of her career doing marketing in the entertainment world, but is now shifting her focus toward sustainability and community impact. She volunteers with the London Wildlife and Bat Conservation trusts and is always looking to learn from others who care about creating positive environmental change. She's looking forward to meeting more people in the local community and hearing about the projects and ideas you’ve come across or are working on.
