Join us on Saturday 8 March, International Women’s Day, for the closing event of Painted Dreams: The Art of Evelyn De Morgan.Explore themes within the work of the pioneering late Victorian artist Evelyn De Morgan relevant to IWD 2025 with expert talks, a creative workshop and the option to attend an evening performance by Flexus Dance Collective.
Event schedule:
10:30 – 11:15 – Registration & refreshments (Georgian Gallery, first floor)
10:45 – 11:15 – Drop-in creative workshop led by artist Karen Francis-Walker (Painted Dreams exhibition gallery 3, first floor). Design a feminist banner, taking inspiration from Evelyn De Morgan’s work and techniques. No booking required.
11:15 – 11:25 – Welcome address (Georgian Gallery, first floor)
11:25 – 11:45 – Talk 1 – Sarah Hardy
11:45 – 12:05 – Talk 2 – Lucy Ella Rose
12:05 –12:15 – Comfort break
12:15 – 12:45 – Visit exhibition and/ or join the drop-in creative workshop (both first floor)
12:45 – 14:00 – Break for lunch, Glaze café open (ground floor), or nearby cafes on Dudley Street

Wolverhampton Art Gallery opening hours – 10:30 – 16:30. The Painted Dreams exhibition galleries (first floor) are open throughout the day until 4pm.
