Chinese Film Festival Hamburg (CFFH) presents the European Premiere of Closer to Me (归去来辞, Dir. CHEN Yu, 2025), followed by a Q&A in English.

City dwellers, carrying the weight of scepticism, leave for the countryside to practise ecological farming — only to find their ideals colliding with reality, as the distances between them quietly grow. A group of city dwellers, bearing the weight of doubt, leave for the countryside to practise ecological farming. But the beautiful vision they carry collides, again and again, with the reality they encounter. On the long, obstacle-strewn road of this experiment, the distances between the people in the community begin to grow.
