About Alexis:
Alexis MV is a classical dressage rider and coach who is well educated in both the French and German methodologies of traditional riding. She utilizes the principles of both, along with R+ (clicker training) to create a blended approach of science based, biomechanically sound, ethical training of the horse for any discipline. Having studied extensively with world renowned author and coach, Mary Wanless, Alexis offers riders detailed insight on how to correctly use the position to ride with balance and feel, as well as preserve their own ‘soundness’. Here are some highlights of Alexis' achievements:
● USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist on self trained horses
● USDF Silver Freestyle bar, and freestyle competitor at nearly every level
● USEF r dressage judge
● USDF Horse of the year top 20 placings multiple levels
● Former CHA (Certified Horsemanship Assn) Certified Instructor
I met Alexis at a Mary Wanless teacher training course in California in 2023. I loved her horse-first approach, deep interest in biomechanics and down-to-earth nature and I know you will too! I am so excited to have the opportunity to learn from her in person at our charming private facility. We look forward to hosting a weekend filled with interesting discussions on healthy and positive training practices that horses and riders of all levels can benefit from.
