Cuyahoga County Chapter of the Ohio Horseman's Council is not hosting this event which is put on by the Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Police Unit. However, we are one of the sponsors which support this fundraiser. All of the money raised goes to help the Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Police horses with purchasing, health, training and more.

The Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Unit is proud to offer our
Ride the Beach fundraiser for its 9th consecutive year. Thank
you for the generous support of our Official Community Sponsor the
Cuyahoga County Horseman’s Council along with Centerra-Purina
and the continued support of Big Dee’s Tack and Vet Supply, as the Mounted Unit looks forward to sharing our
beautiful Lakefront Reservation with you.
Our event provides the public an opportunity to bring their own horse and ride the Cleveland shoreline at historic
Edgewater Beach- taking in the spectacular views, plenty of photo opportunities, and time in the water if you choose.
Proceeds directly assist the Mounted Unit with specialized equipment purchases and unique training opportunities. Registration for the Cleveland Metroparks Ride the (Edgewater) Beach is now open. Edgewater Beach is a large sandy beach with a gentle sloping entry into the water. The riding area is big for fun trots and canters across the sandy stretch. Included is a guided ride around the park and up to the Cleveland Sign overlooking Lake Erie and the Cleveland Skyline for beautiful photo ops.
Ticket sales are now open. You can see how many tickets are left for each session by clicking on the three dots for Options at the far-right side of each session and selecting Enrollment Count Details. Space is limited.
