City Shaping Industry Breakfast

The City of Gold Coast (City) is preparing a new Planning Scheme, a Local Growth Management Strategy and a Housing Strategy to accommodate an anticipated population of over 1 million people by 2046.

The City will be hosting a City Shaping Industry Breakfast on Wednesday 6 November 2024 where you will hear how data is guiding decision making for the City’s Local Growth Management Strategy.

• Councillor Mark Hammel, opening address
• Jennifer Michelmore, Chief Executive Officer of Civic Shifts on the Urban Change Readiness approach
• Andrew Saad, Coordinator Strategic Planning Analytics, Strategic Infrastructure, on the Planning for Urban Growth (PUG) model
• Catherine Rollo, Acting General Manager City Planning on the City’s Local Growth Management Strategy.

Attendees will be invited to participate in an interactive panel session and provide valuable input into the Urban Change Readiness index through a tailored survey.
