This two-part citizen science program invites participants to explore Wisconsin’s bats through a library talk and a guided evening walk. Participants may attend both or either.
Library Talk — Sept. 15, 6 - 7 p.m. — Racine Public Library Community Room
Explore bat behavior, habitats, and conservation challenges. Learn how citizen scientists can contribute to bat research using tools such as iNaturalist and the Wisconsin Bat Program.
Bat Walk — Sept. 22, 6 - 7 — River Bend Nature Center
Observe bat activity and learn how field observations support monitoring and conservation efforts.
Into the Night is led by Christa Trushinsky, naturalist educator and program coordinator at River Bend Nature Center.
