Child Abuse Prevention Month Kick-Off Community Gathering

Join us in person on Thursday, 4.2.26 8:30 am - 11am at the Miners Foundry - 325 Spring St. Nevada City to kick off Child Abuse Prevention Awareness Month 2026! Wear your best blues for kiddos and youth!

We will hold a memorial flag raising ceremony to recognize and honor children who have lost their lives due to child abuse and neglect. Following the memorial flag raising, we will honor our local first responders and have several community leaders speak to the impact of child abuse and neglect in our community along with a panel of local prevention partners and parents with lived experience.

We hope you’ll join us to learn more about the child abuse and neglect prevention efforts taking place in Nevada County. Light refreshments will be provided.
