Chener Books Poetry Group

We are excited to launch a monthly morning poetry group led by Shazea Quraishi.

The first session will take place on Wednesday May 20th 8.30-10am with subsequent sessions:June 10th and July 8th. We are initaily taking bookings for the first session.

Join us to write, inspired by reading a wide range of contemporary poems in a supportive group. We will explore craft, and generate new work with an option to share. For new and experienced poets.

Shazea is a Pakistani-born poet and translator based in South London. Her poems have been published widely in the UK, US and Canada; The Glimmer is her latest collection from Bloodaxe. She has taught with organisations including the Poetry School, Poetry Studio, Arvon, The Poetry Society, and more.

Shazea is an excellent poet and mentor. She shares illuminating examples of poems to facilitate the writing of our own poems, and her encouragement is exceptional.
