Chattanooga Chase 8K road race and The Extra Mile for Siskin 1 Mile run
The 59th Running of the Chattanooga Chase Road Race presented by Fast Break Athletics and the Chattanooga Track Club in partnership with The YMCA of Chattanooga, along with Siskin Children's Institute will take place on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Riverview Park in Chattanooga, TN. The 8K Race will start at 9:00 am and The Extra Mile for Siskin 1 Mile Race will start at 11:00 am.
The Chattanooga Chase is the oldest active competitive road race in the area. This race features both an 8k and 1-mile race through the scenic Riverview neighborhood. The 8k is known for its challenging hills and breathtaking scenery. The 1-mile race features a fairly flat, fast course through the neighborhood adjacent to Chattanooga Golf and Country Club.
The Extra Mile for Siskin is an RRCA Championship race that will include 2 heats to ensure all racers have a safe and enjoyable experience. The first wave will begin at 11 a.m., which will be a family-friendly wave for participants running 8 minutes per mile and slower. The second wave will begin at 11:40 a.m., which welcomes participants running 7:30 minutes per mile or faster.
Starting at 10 a.m., the post-race block party sponsored by FOOD AS A VERB will kick off on Hanover Street which will include live music and food and beverage from local restaurants. Participants of the race can bring their bibs over to the block party to get some delicious freebies from these amazing vendors! Riverview Park will feature family-friendly and inclusive activities thanks to our partners at Siskin Children's Institute.
