Charlie's Angels at The Revival House PerthThree highly trained private investigators work for the mysterious, unseen Charlie Townsend, communicating with their boss only through his assistant Bosley (Bill Murray). The Angels—tech genius Dylan Sanders (Drew Barrymore), former race car driver Alex Munday (Lucy Liu), and martial arts expert Natalie Cook (Cameron Diaz)—receive their most dangerous assignment yet: recover revolutionary voice-recognition software stolen from tech genius Eric Knox (Sam Rockwell). The technology could allow anyone to track and locate any person on Earth simply from their voice, making it the ultimate weapon for assassination. As the Angels go undercover in various disguises—from geishas to Bavarian dancers to sexy race fans—they discover the conspiracy goes deeper than industrial espionage. Someone is targeting Charlie himself, and the Angels must use every skill in their considerable arsenal to protect their employer and stop the technology from falling into the wrong hands.
Director McG transforms the classic '70s TV series into a kinetic, tongue-in-cheek action spectacular that embraces its own absurdity. The 2000 film is essentially a live-action cartoon, with wire-fu martial arts, impossible stunts, and physics-defying action sequences that prioritize style and fun over realism. Barrymore, Diaz, and Liu have tremendous chemistry, clearly enjoying themselves as they kick, flip, and wise-crack through increasingly outrageous scenarios. The film's self-aware humor—breaking the fourth wall, winking references to the original series, and sheer cartoonish excess—makes it endlessly entertaining. Russell Carpenter's cinematography keeps everything bright and poppy, while the soundtrack packs wall-to-wall hits from Destiny's Child to Prodigy. Bill Murray brings inspired comic chaos as Bosley, while the action sequences—particularly a mansion fight choreographed to "Barracuda"—are genuinely thrilling. McG directs with music-video energy that never stops moving.
