Recently featured on the 23rd season of American Idol as a golden ticket recipient, award-winning contemporary crooner Charlie Romo is a classically-trained lyric baritone who has developed an avid passion for, and a unique interpretation of recognizable jazz standards, vintage rock n' roll, and timeless songs from the Great American Songbook. Inspired by his favorite interpreters of classic American popular songs—(Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Vic Damone, Ray Charles, Dion DiMucci, Harry Connick Jr., Michael Bublé, etc.)—Romo's goal is to carry the torch of timeless music by reviving it in his own dynamic and refreshing way. Performing classic hits as if they were brand new, Romo's high energy stage performances harken back to the greats, but ultimately, his performances set their own standard of excellence. The New York City-based entertainer turned nationwide sensation was recently named "Best Debut Artist" from BroadwayWorld—and frequently performs in cities throughout the country, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, and New York. He has headlined at Lincoln Center, Birdland Jazz Club, and has performed the National Anthem for numerous Major League Baseball teams (including the Yankees, Mets and Dodgers). Romo co-starred alongside Hailee Steinfeld in "Dickinson," the popular AppleTV+ series, and was also recently featured on ABC7 performing a tribute to Bobby Darin during the live broadcast of the annual Columbus Day Parade.
