Learn to braid beautiful challah using Omega Bakery's recipe and shape loaves, rolls, and holiday breads you'll bake again.

Challah is one of the most versatile and rewarding breads you can master. In this hands-on class, Chef Amy Loizer will teach you the techniques behind Omega Bakery's award-winning challah recipe while demonstrating the methods used to create beautifully shaped loaves for any occasion.

Working with pre-made dough, you'll focus on shaping and braiding techniques rather than mixing. Learn how to create an impressive six-strand braid, a traditional round holiday challah, and additional shapes such as knots and dinner rolls. Along the way, Chef Amy will discuss proofing, egg washing, baking, and the many ways challah dough can be used beyond the bread basket, including sandwich loaves, burger buns, savory filled rolls, and French toast.

You'll leave with the confidence to recreate these elegant breads at home and the skills to turn one versatile dough into countless homemade favorites.

🍽️ What to Wear:

Please wear long pants and flat, closed-toe shoes for your safety. Long hair should be tied back. You will be standing and cooking for most of the class, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, and high heels are not permitted in Columbus State kitchens.

💬 Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your class booking, you may do so up to 48 hours before the class to receive a refund or class credit. If The Mix must cancel a class for any reason, you will be notified by phone or email and offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

No refunds will be issued after the class has been held.
