Neurodivergent in Community: Making Space to Belong, Connect, & Be Understood
Host: Shantel Williams-Rivers

It looks at belonging, sensory and emotional safety, communication differences, and how community can become more affirming when people are given room to show up honestly and sustainably

Bloom, Anyway: How to Create Your Own Seat at the Table
Host: Elizabeth Randolph-Montgomery
Info: Blooming, in the gardening sense, means to open into the flower the plant was destined to become. So, what’s stopping us from becoming who we are destined to be even when it seems impossible to find opportunities we’re, in most cases, overly qualified for?
Through my workshop, “Bloom, anyway: How to advance in your career before you leave your job,” attendees will learn how to identify opportunities to elevate their careers before choosing to work for themselves. I’ll share how I secured celebrity interviews and made connections in the media industry while living and working as a journalist in Columbus, Ohio. I didn’t let my location or lack of industry experience stop me from building my portfolio of interviews with Jennifer Hudson, Cynthia Bailey, Kordell Beckham, Big Boi, Andy Cohen, Ice-T, Michelle Buteau, and more as an entertainment writer and correspondent, and I want to share how guests can do the same in their careers, no matter their level.
