About this Event

UCL Departments of Biochemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, present a live in person event celebrating Women in Engineering Day


An informal, cross-generational lunchtime dialogue exploring experiences of building careers and ventures, with a focus on innovation, leadership, and overcoming systemic barriers in engineering and entrepreneurship.


Expect ~ 20 minute presentations from our speakers looking at entrepreneurship in engineering, followed by a lively Q&A session over lunch.


Our speakers

We have an interesting mix of excellent speakers on our panel . These are:

Dr Norah Magero: an innovator and renewable energy expert, getting vaccines to the last mile.

Dr Katherine Wang: is a start-up founder and a designer of wearable Med Tech devices to alleviate pain.

Caitlin Mellor: a PhD student in AI Applications for Drug Discovery and a digital content creator.
