What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a beautiful meditative concert-like experience where one would witness a certified Sound Healing Practitioner play harmonious notes and sounds created by using various musical instruments like Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Chimes, Harps, Drums and other resonant instruments. While the participant is encouraged to sit or lay down in a comfortable position, a bath of soothing sound waves and healing frequencies will be sent washing over the body, encouraging deep relaxation and the release of any stored tension, stress and anxiety in the body while stimulating the brain into a meditative state.

What is Reiki? What is Crystal Reiki?

Reiki is a hands-on natural healing modality where a certified Reiki Practitioner acts as a conduit between the client and the source of Universal Light & Life Force Energy (aka "Chi" or "Prana"). Light & Energy flows through the practitioner’s hands/eyes/breath and is directed towards the client. Before every session, Mel Rio also channels Reiki into the room, the singing bowls and crystals in order to clear, charge and program them energetically for healing and to prepare a safe environment for the session.

Healing Crystals (semi-precious gemstones) will each be programmed and charged with Reiki in order to work on the body, to balance and energize the Chakras, provide color therapy, and support mental, emotional and physical release during the session. A personalized Chakra Balancing Crystal Reiki Energy Healing Body Layout will be created for each person during the session, helping to bring the body and its energy centers back to balance and harmony.

Most leave a "Crystal Reiki Sound Bath" session feeling calm and more relaxed, with any stress, tension or anxiety felt before the session greatly reduced. The combination of Reiki and Sound Healing is a powerful method used to attune the mind, body and spirit to higher frequencies and open up the energy channels (chakras and meridians) to flow freely by removing any blockages in the body that are caused by stress, anxiety and/or other emotional and environmental trauma.

During the “Crystal Reiki” Sound Bath, not only is every participant receiving sound therapy, each will receive their very own healing crystal body layout. By the end of the session, the 7 main energy centers of the body (chakras) will be more open and balanced, bringing harmony and improving the energy flow to the body, promoting relaxation, relief with pain, and speeds up healing.

This will be a 1.5-2 hour intensive healing sound bath experience where attendees will receive sound therapy from many sound healing instruments as well as a personalized crystal healing body layout. Please allow extra time for a proper introduction and discussion before and after the session.

Each group session will max out at 6 people so that more personal attention can be given to each attendee. Group sessions will remain small to ensure a safe and proper space for healing. This is not a typical sound bath experience or sound meditation. This is an intense experience and is only recommended for those serious about starting their individual healing journeys and are ok with being totally immersed in loud sounds and powerful sound vibrations. This event is not recommended for those sensitive of hearing to loud or high pitch singing bowls or gongs.

No meditation experience is required. All you have to do during the session is try to relax and be open to receiving the sounds and vibrations from the Singing Bowls when played over and around the body. You will be encouraged to either sit or lay down on the floor. Chairs are available for those who cannot sit or lay down on the floor. (Please advise before the session if a chair will be needed). Yoga Mats, Rugs, Pillows, Towels, Eye Coverings and Blankets will be provided.

No Walk-Ins. No exceptions. The room has to be prepared for the session in advance. Online Registration is the only Guaranteed Reservation. We have the right to cancel the event due to lack of attendance or registration, or due to inclement weather. Event may also be canceled in advance or postponed if space is booked for a private event or private session.

(Based on Availability). Direct payment must include the ticket price ($65.00) plus the 8.8% NYC sales tax ($5.77). Which equals to a total of $70.77 direct payment required to hold the reservation per person.

Cancellations or Refund Requests must be received 3 days before event date. Requests to Reschedule and/or Transfer Tickets to another event must be received 48 hrs before the event date and time in order for a transfer request to be granted. Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable. No Show Attendee tickets will not be granted a refund or transfer request.

Please keep/bring minimal personal belongings. Space is extremely limited. Management will not be responsible for any personal belongings left behind, lost or stolen.

All group sessions are video recorded by the Management for security and insurance purposes. By attending you agree to be video recorded by security cameras. Management may use copies of the video recordings at their own discretion.
