CAPS BC Professional Development Event
About this Event
Ever had your slides not load? Your microphone stop working? A tech glitch throw you off? Or an audience interaction take your presentation in a direction you never expected?
As professional speakers, we know that no matter how well we prepare, the unexpected happens. The question is...how do we respond?
The art of improvisation isn't just about being funny, it's about becoming more present, adaptable, and confident when life throws you a curveball.
Join your fellow CAPS members for a fun, interactive morning where you'll learn practical improv techniques that will help you:
- Think on your feet with greater confidence
- Stay calm when the unexpected happens
- Build resilience and adaptability on stage
- Strengthen your audience connection
- Become more playful, present, and authentic in your delivery
- Have a lot of fun while building deeper connections with your fellow speakers
Whether you're delivering a keynote, facilitating a workshop, hosting a panel, or answering tough audience questions, improv gives you the confidence to trust yourself in the moment.
The session will be led by our very own talented Improv trained CAPS BC members, who will guide us through engaging exercises designed specifically for speakers.
