Join WE MAKE DC for CAMP CREATE, series of FREE Family Maker Nights celebrating Washington, DC's incredible creative community.

DATES: August 11, 12, 13 and August 18, 19, 20

TIME: 5-7:30PM

LOCATION: WE MAKE DC, 1140 Connecticut Avenue NW
Each week, families will meet a different local artist, maker, or entrepreneur and create a hands-on project together. From screen printing and candle pouring to clay, collage, painting, and more, every evening offers a new opportunity to learn, create, and connect.

Along the way, participants will discover the stories behind the makers, explore creative careers, and see how passion can become a profession.

Whether you're raising the next artist, entrepreneur, designer, or simply looking for a fun night out together, CAMP CREATE is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and community.

Sessions:

Maker-led sessions will begin at 5:30pm and 6:30pm. We will sign attendees up for the next available session based on their arrival time. We will have activities available in between sessions to keep the creativity flowing!

Event Requirement:

All attendees 18 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Designed for youth ages 8–14 and their families, but all ages are welcome.

Free to attend. All materials provided.

Because the best way to discover creativity is to make something together.

Classroom: Edible Garden Paint & Plant Workshop - paint your own pot and bring home a new herb for your home.

Gallery Space: Collective Doodle - Doodle and draw to your hearts delight!

Candle Workshop

Classroom: Create your own colorful and playful candle! Using wax molds with a variety of fun options, guest can make their own colorful candle to take home.

Gallery Space: Watercolor a postcard designed by a local artist, address it and we’ll send it out!

Screen Print a Tote

Classroom: Screenprint your very own tote and learn screenprinting basics along the way! Customize with fabric markers to make it your own.

Gallery Space: Patch and press! Choose a patch from our Make it Bar to add onto your screen printed tote!

Classroom: Craft your own adventure with this collage notebook session. Make your new notebook unique to you!
