Calling The Goddess
Schedule
Sat Nov 30 2024 at 10:00 am to 04:00 pm
UTC+13:00Location
Mary Potter Community Centre Christchurch | Christchurch, CA
Step into a realm where ancient wisdom meets modern life.
Embrace a day dedicated to uncovering and inviting the Goddess into your existence—a powerful force that calls to you from every whisper of nature.
**She is calling you**
She calls to you through the dawn chorus of the bird song.
She calls from the fragrant vapours rising from a cupped herbal tea.
She calls you through the swishing surf, and the silken lapping of the river and lake water tumbling over stone.
She calls you with the voices of Isis, Ishtar, Hecate, Artemis, Demeter, Athena, Aphrodite and Lilith....
Listen to the quieter voice of your heart.
When you observe the signs, and learn to read the synchronicities, you'll see the universe is always benevolently guiding us listen to what our inner self is wanting: soul fulfillment and personal growth.
**What does this mean for you?**
This is a chance to reconnect with a deeper part of yourself, a divine reminder of ancient feminine power.
Before our world was shaped by patriarchy, many women once held the sacred role of priestess, guiding their communities through wisdom and ritual.
Today, we rekindle this ancient path through a process of personal reflection, ceremonial design, and self-ordination, supported and celebrated by a vibrant Red Tent community.
**What to Expect:**
A chance to explore the Mystical and Pragmatic:
Discover skills to help with self-healing, ritual, and spiritual practices that align with the Goddess.
**Uncover Your Inner Goddesses:**
During this full day workshop we will focus on how we can incorporate the Goddess Wisdom into our everyday modern lives by recognising the different nuances of each archetypical Goddess to mark our progress and give acknowledgement to our universal timeless struggles.
First, we will acknowledge the curse of modern culture and see the damage it has done to the female psyche; we’ll spend a little time with Eve.
Eve is the compliant good girl, the one who feels not enough, the one who looks to others for approval, the one who wears many masks, is a handmaiden of the patriarchy, and seeks the male gaze…
Then, as we begin to walk the path of empowerment we will say WELCOME to our Inner Wild Woman- Lilith who governs our base chakra, she is the goddess who won’t stay quiet, she’s the one who speaks her truth and questions other viewpoints from a place of compassionate curiosity.
Next, we will welcome our Inner Beautiful Muse; Aphrodite and see how she can assist us, we will spend some time investigating where we may have shut her down. We’ll gently welcome her back and activate her gifts within.
Depending on time we will visit briefly with:
Our Inner Earth Empress- Demeter
Our Inner Golden Heroine- Athena
Our Inner Medicine Woman- Artemis
Our Inner Wise Woman- Hecate
Our Inner High Priestess- Ishtar
Our Inner Queen- Isis
Each offers of these archetypical Goddesses offer unique insights and empowerment for your journey.
**Engage in a Full Day of Enrichment:**
Enjoy a blend of learning, movement, craft, and meditation as you connect with your inner divine self.
Embrace this opportunity to walk alongside your sisters on the path of the Goddess.
Whether you seek to understand the divine feminine or to simply explore a new spiritual dimension, this day promises inspiration, transformation, and community.
**Join us and walk the beauty way with the Goddess.**

The Red Tent is a place for women to feel that connection and to offer and receive that support.
We want to help women to free themselves from the isolation of today’s modern world and find their tribe.
The Red Tent Aotearoa movement has the aim to connect, collaborate, and create a community of strong and educated women in a supportive & nurturing environment.
We establish community networks and support between women by hosting local gatherings, and events in what we call 'Red Tents.'
Red Tent Aotearoa is not religious, and we invite anyone who identifies as female from 11 years + from all walks of life.
It’s our hope for everyone who enters each Red Tent to experience a sense of belonging, sisterhood, and strength that stays with them from then on.

FAQ:
What is the Red Tent and what do you do there?
The Red Tent movement is worldwide and stemmed from the book The Red Tent written by Anita Diamant.
Red Tents are spaces created by women, for women to come each month and share their stories, relax, feel nurtured, seen, and heard.
There is nothing required of you and the main goal is for you to relax, recharge and reset.
Each circle at Red Tent Aotearoa is different, we invite a different woman to share her story, experience and interest with us so that we all can learn and become more confident. Some of our themes in the past have been; The Power of Pleasure, The Power of Identity, The Power of Grief, The Power of Menstrual Cycle Awareness, The Power of the Spoken Word, The Power of Positive Touch, and The Power of Humility. Our belief is that 'Power-with' instead of 'Power-over' will change the world.
Who is the host and why does she do this?
We have many Red Tent Aotearoa trained facilitators across the country.
Each Red Tent is hosted by someone different. Jill Natalia is the founder of Red Tent Aotearoa and Red Tent Australia.

Jill is a community-focused change-maker with a devotion to non-profit organisations and a passion for non-violent communication. She has dedicated the last 11 years of her life to starting, growing, and sharing Red Tent Australia and now Red Tent Aotearoa.
