Calile Culture: Suzie Miller in Conversation

Join us for an evening of conversation as Calile Culture welcomes back celebrated Australian playwright Suzie Miller to discuss her new play Strong is the New Pretty.

Renowned for her past works RBG: Of Many, One and global sensation Prima Facie, Miller brings her sharp theatrical lens to the story of the Australian Football League Women’s (AFLW) beginnings in Strong is the New Pretty, bringing focus to the people behind the league’s rise, exploring the grit, belief and collective momentum that helped women’s football claim its place on the national stage.

Miller will join a conversation moderated by Stephanie Brantz and panellists Minerva Network Athletes Paralympian Madison de Rozario OAM PLY , AFLW foundation player Ally Anderson and Professor Sarah Kelly OAM, exploring the stories behind transformational moments in women’s sport, the determination required to create new pathways, and the broader impact of challenging long-held norms and expectations.
