Cal Poly Alumni — APIDA Community Lunar New Year Mixer and Celebration

The Cal Poly Alumni — Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Community invites you to a special mixer to celebrate and connect with fellow Mustangs in San Francisco! Join us on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 2–4 PM as we come together to kick off our new community and ring in the Year of the Snake with joy and camaraderie. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Don't wait — ticket sales end on Wednesday, Feb. 12, or when sold out!

Tickets are $25 and include entrance to the Cal Poly Alumni — APIDA Community Lunar New Year Mixer. This mixer includes your first beverage, light appetizers and a special Cal Poly swag item. After the mixer, feel free to enjoy a variety of free events like the Chinese New Year Parade and community steet fair (more details below).

Chinese New Year Parade — 5 to 7pm

While you're in town, continue to festivities at San Francisco's famous Chinese New Year Parade — named one of the top ten parades in the world by the International Festivals & Events Association and USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice award. The parade is FREE to attend for parties interested in standing along the parade route. There is also bleacher seating that allows for excellent viewing. Bleacher Section B is a short 0.2 mi (5-minute) walk from the mixer location. A SEPARATE TICKET PURCHASE is required for bleacher seating. Community Street Fair - 10am to 4:30pm

Immerse yourself in the sites and sounds of Chinatown (Grant Ave. between California and Broadway) during one of the community’s most exciting times of the year. You will find over 120 booths and concessions making this a shopper’s paradise. The SF Chinese Chamber of Commerce has activities and entertainment for all ages. Enjoy Chinese folk dancing, opera, drumming and much more at the entertainment stage on Pacific St. below Grant Ave.
