About this Event
Join Matt Siefert, Watershed Coordinator with Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners, for a hands-on workshop focused on Ohio’s native bees and their importance as pollinators. Participants will learn about cavity-nesting native bees, build a bee house to take home, and explore native pollinator plants that support healthy habitats. Native seed mixes will be provided so you can start your own pollinator garden.
Audience: Adults & Families
Cost: Free — all materials and tools provided
Registration & Capacity:
- Limited to 10 bee houses total - register early to reserve your space.
- One bee house per individual registration or one per couple/family
- Observers welcome and encouraged - bring the whole family!
Important Note: Bee houses require annual maintenance, including replacing nesting materials. Please only take a bee house if you’re able to maintain it. Free replacement nesting materials will be provided for participants’ second year.
