About this Event
The Brown Bag Mystery Quilting Retreat blends surprise and creativity into a relaxed, inspiring sewing getaway. With step-by-step clues revealed throughout the retreat, you’ll stitch together a mystery quilt one piece at a time, never quite knowing what’s coming next. Work at your own pace, sew alongside friends old and new, and enjoy the fun of watching a beautiful quilt emerge from the mystery. Expect plenty of laughter, shared inspiration, and that satisfying moment when it all finally comes together.
What to Expect From Us:
Sleeping Rooms - 10 rooms are upstairs and are shared - there are no private rooms available and a chair lift is available for assistance. There are two ADA rooms available upon request. Please call 816-265-1812 to reserve these rooms.
Meals - Please note that lunches will no longer be provided during our regular retreats.
For Early Bird Arrivals:
- Monday evening: A light dinner will be served.
- Tuesday morning: Enjoy a continental breakfast.
For All Guests:
Tuesday evening: Dinner will be served.
Wednesday & Thursday: Continental breakfast and dinner will be provided.
Friday morning: A hot farewell breakfast awaits before your departure!
Sewing Machines -
- Feel free to bring your own machine (and all cords!).
- Alternatively, reserve one of our machines for the duration of your stay, free of charge.
- If you need to reserve a machine, please indicate this on your registration form.
Cancellation Policy: We know things happen, but if for some reason you need to cancel after you have booked your reservation, please let us know as soon as possible. The retreat is only fully refundable 60 days in advance of the start date. In the event that you are past the 60-day notice and are unable to attend, you may transfer your reservation to someone else or move to another retreat at a later date within the next year.

Quilt Top: 1 pkg of 10" print squares, 1 pkg of 10" background squares or 3 3/4 yd background fabric, 1yd accent fabric
Inner Border: 3/4 yd background fabric

Backing: 8 yds vertical seam or 2 3/4 yds wide backing
