Join us for a Breathwork + Sound Healing Ceremony, an intentional, trauma-informed experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and create space for greater awareness, movement, and integration.
Through guided conscious connected breathwork, somatic awareness, therapeutic sound, restorative movement, and reflection, you will be supported in moving beyond the thinking mind and into a deeper relationship with your body.
Breathwork can create space for emotions, sensations, and held tension to move or simply be witnessed. It can deepen awareness of your body's sensations, patterns, needs, and inner knowing while supporting a greater sense of connection with yourself.
But breathwork isn't only about what happens during the ceremony. The deeper invitation is noticing what your body reveals and learning how to carry that awareness into your everyday life.
There is nothing you need to force, accomplish, or release. Your experience is your own, and you will always be encouraged to listen to your body and honor your capacity throughout the practice.
WHAT TO EXPECT
We begin by creating a grounded container and talking about the breathwork practice, including how conscious connected breathing works, what you may experience, and ways to approach the practice with curiosity rather than expectation.
You will then be guided into an activating circular breathing pattern known as conscious connected breathwork. This style of somatic breathwork uses a continuous, rhythmic breath to help shift attention away from the thinking mind and toward the sensations and experiences happening within the body.
As the breathing continues, you may notice physical sensations, emotion, movement, memories, imagery, insight, resistance, spaciousness, or deep connection. You may also have a quiet or subtle experience. There is no particular experience you are supposed to have.
Throughout the journey, you will be encouraged to remain in relationship with your body. You can slow your breath, change your breathing pattern, move, rest, or pause whenever needed. The intention is not to push your body toward an outcome, but to create enough space and support to listen to what is present.
After the active breathwork journey, we intentionally slow down.
Sound, restorative movement, stillness, and reflection create space for your nervous system to settle and for you to begin integrating whatever emerged during the experience. Therapeutic sound and restorative yoga support this transition from activation into rest, grounding, and connection.
Rather than ending at the peak of the experience, we give the body time to land.
THE BENEFITS OF BREATHWORK + SOUND HEALING
Every breathwork experience is different, and no specific emotional or physical outcome can be guaranteed. The practice can, however, create conditions that support greater awareness, connection, and regulation.
Breathwork and sound healing may support you in:
* Creating space for emotions, sensations, and held tension to move or be witnessed
* Deepening awareness of your body's sensations, patterns, needs, and inner knowing
* Moving out of habitual thinking and into greater connection with your body
* Experiencing deep relaxation and rest
* Developing greater awareness of your nervous system and internal cues
* Connecting with emotions or experiences that may be difficult to access through thinking alone
* Cultivating curiosity and compassion toward your internal experience
* Experiencing greater clarity, spaciousness, or connection
* Strengthening your relationship with yourself and your ongoing healing journey
For some, the experience feels expansive and emotional. For others, it is quiet, grounding, or deeply restful. There is no right way to experience breathwork.
INTEGRATION
The ceremony doesn't end when the breathing stops.
Integration is the process of allowing an experience to settle into the body and considering how what you noticed may inform the way you care for yourself, relate to yourself, or move through your everyday life.
Following the active breathwork, you'll be invited to notice what arose. This may include sensations, emotions, insights, memories, images, awareness of familiar patterns, or perhaps simply a greater sense of connection with yourself.
We'll offer grounding and reflection practices to help you make meaning of your experience and consider how you want to tend to what emerged in the days that follow.
There is no pressure to immediately understand everything that happened. Sometimes integration is about making meaning. Sometimes it is about noticing. Sometimes it is simply giving yourself permission to rest and allowing your experience to unfold over time.
The intention is to help you leave not only having had an experience, but with greater awareness of how you can continue listening and responding to yourself afterward.
AFTER THE CEREMONY
Your experience may continue to unfold after you leave the ceremony. You may feel peaceful, energized, tired, emotional, reflective, clear, tender, or simply like yourself. All of these can be part of the integration process.
We encourage you to give yourself some spaciousness following the ceremony when possible. Drink plenty of water, nourish your body, rest, and notice what your system is asking for rather than immediately returning to productivity.
In the hours and days afterward, you may find it supportive to journal, spend time in nature, engage in gentle movement, practice grounding or mindful breathing, create art, rest, or talk with someone you trust.
Most importantly, stay curious.
You do not have to turn every sensation into a story or every insight into immediate action. Notice what continues to return to your awareness. Notice what feels different. Notice what your body seems to want more of or less of.
Integration is less about figuring out what happened and more about developing an ongoing relationship with what your body is communicating.
If something meaningful arises, you can allow yourself time to explore it with care and, when appropriate, bring it into your existing therapeutic, healing, or personal growth work.
WHO IS THIS CEREMONY FOR?
This Breathwork + Sound Healing Ceremony is open to adults 18+ and welcomes both beginners and those with an established breathwork practice.
No previous experience with breathwork, yoga, meditation, or sound healing is necessary.
You do not need to arrive knowing what you want to work on, what you need to release, or what you hope will happen. Curiosity and a willingness to listen to your body are enough.
WHAT TO BRING
Creating physical comfort can help you feel supported throughout the breathwork and integration portions of the ceremony. We recommend bringing:
* Yoga mat
* One or two blankets, especially during cooler weather
* Pillow or yoga bolster
* Water bottle
* Comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe and move freely
* Layers, since body temperature can shift throughout the experience
* Journal and pen if you would like to capture reflections afterward
* Eye mask, if that helps you turn your attention inward
* Chapstick or any other small comfort items that help you settle into your space
You are welcome to create a comfortable "nest" for yourself. The more physically supported your body feels, the easier it can be to turn your attention inward.
IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS + CONTRAINDICATIONS
Conscious connected breathwork can be an activating practice and may not be appropriate for everyone.
Please contact us before participating if you are pregnant or have concerns related to asthma or other significant respiratory conditions, heart disease or cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, epilepsy or a history of seizures, or a history of severe mental health conditions.
If you are unsure whether this style of breathwork is appropriate for you, please reach out before registering. We are happy to have a conversation about your needs and whether modifications or another practice may be more supportive.
Participant choice, agency, and safety are important parts of this experience. You are always encouraged to listen to your body, modify the practice, or stop at any time.
COME AS YOU ARE
You do not need to arrive ready to transform yourself.
Come with your body, your breath, and your curiosity.
We will create the space to explore what is present, listen to what your body is communicating, and give yourself time to integrate what you discover.
**The breathwork ceremony may last a few hours. The relationship you are cultivating with yourself continues long after you leave.**
