About this Event

Talk Summary:
With the creative world increasingly relying on AI to create work, we're seeing homogenous, unoriginal, and predictable creative work taking over the industry. This talk highlights how the unique contributions of neurodivergent creatives are being recognised as the rising new strengths in a world that's starting to look more and more the same. We'll explore how individuals with different neurological makeups, who think and create outside conventional norms, can bring their inventive approaches and the fresh perspectives to supercharge the industry. We'll also discuss why AI has become so unoriginal, what the limitations are of AI in replicating true human creativity, and the importance of embracing neurodiversity to foster innovation in an AI-saturated world.

About Kim Lawrie:

Kim Lawrie was most recently Head of Creative and Emerging Tech at House 337. Kim is a passionate advocate for neurodiverse creatives in the industry and has spoke publicly about her own experience as an autistic person. As well as landing the BIMA 100 Tech Trailblazer award in 2020 and 2021, Kim's the Women in IT's Next Generation Leader of the Year, Ally of the Year, on CreativePool's 100 Industry Influencers list, and is recognised cross-industry for her impact on the technology-led world of innovation in marketing. She has led innovation with clients like Jägermeister, Red Bull, the RAF, Costa, the Royal Navy, Sky, Santander, and many others in areas that make use of the latest developments, like AI, experiential interfaces, and any way a story can be better told through technology.
